Walcher field of activity
We are a medium-sized company with approx. 20 employees, dealing with the projection, development and manufacturing of various products for energy, measuring and control technology. In particular, this includes the automation of hydroelectric power plants, the manufacturing of voltage regulators, smalll-scale transformers, energy recovery systems and test benchs.
The company was founded by Dipl.-Ing. Friedrich Walcher, a certified engineer, in Frankfurt am Main, with the objective of developing, manufacturing and distributing voltage regulators for long low-voltage lines.
The first small hydroelectric power plants are automated by Walcher. For this purpose, cost-effective protection relays for energy technology were also developed and manufactured for the first time.
Son Dipl.-Ing. Hartmut Walcher, also a certified engineer, joined the young company.
Hartmut Walcher becomes the owner and managing director.
The small-scale transformer construction division is founded.
Planning of the company’s relocation from Frankfurt to Eichenzell.
Relocation of the company into its own production premises with a completely new team of staff from Frankfurt to Eichenzell.
Development of modern microprocessor-controlled equipment, such as measurement data loggers and energy management systems.
Completion of the new office building with additional production premises.
The third generation, Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Dipl.-Wirt.ing. (FH) Thomas Walcher, a certified engineer and certified industrial engineer, joined the company.
From the individual company, Walcher GmbH & Co.KG is formed with the two managing directors, Hartmut and Thomas Walcher.
Certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and Accredited by connexio.
